A terminally ill mother of five is preparing for her last Christmas with her family after a yearlong battle with cancer.

41-year-old Sara Webber was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in December 2016. It has been a long and tough year for the family who are now preparing for what will be Sara’s last Christmas.

In the last 12 months, Sara has gone through radiation and surgery and heartbreakingly doctors have discovered a mass in her lung. Just two weeks ago the family heard the devastating news, that that mass, too, was cancerous.

Sara hopes to have a very special Christmas this year with something her children will remember her by. She has one dying wish: to have a Christmas tree completely covered in angels, a symbol of strength, protection and higher power.

Sara explained “I wanted an angel tree so my kids and my younger children could actually take these and save these and know that their last Christmas with their mom was with a bunch of angels and they will all be watched over.”

Sara’s mother Betty Taylor took to Facebook to share her daughter’s last wish and the post was shared far and wide. It wasn’t long before the gifts started to arrive at her house. “The next thing I know, I’ve got 85 shares, so it just like ‘poof,’ which we didn’t know it would do that. I was thinking if she could get a dozen that would be nice, but it has really bloomed,” Betty said.

As you all know my daughter Sara has cancer. Since this will be her last Christmas in on earth with her earthly family,…

In the two weeks since posting the message, the Webber household has been flooded with angel gifts and cards from all over the country, from strangers wishing the family well.

Sara’s twin sister, Susan Painter said “Even though I wish I had another miracle, this year we will just take that angel tree as our miracle because every day it gives her something to look forward to and we’ll take that.”

Sara has said that the angels and the people sending them have reminded her of the true meaning of Christmas. “These angels mean a lot but the ones who have, that rallied behind me and lifted me, they mean a lot, too,” Sara explained.

These angels have given the Webber’s a sense of hope and peace in her home. Each year they will redecorate the tree with the angels and know that Sara will always be with them.

The family has also set up a gofundme page to help with medical and living expenses. They have shared her detailed story there, which you can find here:
